We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical warehouse transition project for a global distribution business.
This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end relocation of approximately 3,500 pallets from one warehouse to another, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing distribution activities.
About the Role:
This is a 3-6 month contract based in Mulgrave, reporting directly to the Project Lead.
The project will also involve some travel to Sydney during the warehouse move.
The successful candidate will be able to start immediately and will work with a high degree of flexibility, ideally committing three days during the week and providing support across weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver the warehouse move project from planning through to execution
- Manage the relocation of ~3,500 pallets with minimal blackout periods and distribution disruption
- Work with the demand planning team to prioritise the movement of old and slow-moving stock
- Develop and manage project timelines, with the first phase due for completion by mid-November
- Coordinate stock transfers, logistics, and warehouse operations end-to-end
- Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership
- Support subsequent warehouse transition projects following this initial phase
About You:
- Proven Project Management experience, ideally in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain (specific industry background not required)
- Solid ability to manage projects end-to-end with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable working flexibly across weekdays and weekends
- Experience with JDE or similar systems is advantageous but not essential
