Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team in Darwin, NT. This role involves managing design, planning, procurement, and programming requirements for assigned work packages/designated work areas to ensure construction activities are delivered safely and in accordance with client cost, time, quality, and scope requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee contractors, including assigning tasks and assisting with contract reviews. They will spend time in the field working with supervisors and supply chain to deliver projects to plan, problem-solving as required, while ensuring work is completed to current design and set out accurately.
This role also involves coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications. The successful candidate will monitor construction progress for the area of work against program and budget and report to the line manager.
In addition, they will provide direction and supervision for Site Engineers and any direct reports, as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil) or Construction Management
* Minimum of 5 years' construction/engineering project experience
* An understanding of design, specifications, managing subcontractors, providing technical direction, issue resolution, providing quality assurance, producing site reports
* Familiarity with Defence Estate Handover Takeover processes (desirable)
