The Opportunity:
This is an opportunity for maternity leave backfill, for an initial period of 12 months with possible extension / permanency.
The Senior Manager Climate Adaptation develops and advises on complex policy issues in the area of climate science, climate risk, and adaptation.
The role leads, manages, and coordinates advice to Government on climate resilience and implementation of the Western Australian Climate Adaptation Strategy, including delivery of climate change projections and evaluation of the effectiveness of adaptation measures.
The position manages and directs the work of the Climate Adaptation Branch while developing and strengthening external stakeholder relationships to support the delivery of policy and programs to enhance climate resilience.
The Senior Manager provides leadership to consultation processes and stakeholder engagement processes undertaken by the Climate Directorate, including providing coordination and leadership of high-level external advisory groups.
