Reliability Engineer Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to enhance the performance of our mobile equipment fleet.
The Opportunity
This key position will drive improvements in equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs and increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse equipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
* Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and defect elimination investigations
* Develop and optimise asset strategies, including condition monitoring and life cycle plans
* Support the planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns and component replacements
* Provide engineering support to ensure repair scopes are developed and reviewed effectively
* Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, OEMs and specialist contractors to implement sustainable solutions
* Advocate for reliability best practice and build capability across the business
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
* Proven experience with heavy mobile equipment maintenance in an open cut mining environment
* Exposure to maintenance management systems is advantageous
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
