Job Summary
We are currently seeking a driven customer focused Territory Sales Manager to promote Pentair's Residential Water Pump Business in Northern NSW / Southern QLD. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of customer and end-user needs across Water Industry Buying Groups, Irrigation Specialists, pump dealers, and plumbing, hardware, and rural merchant networks.
The successful candidate will be a results-driven professional with strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, capable of building and maintaining constructive relationships. You will develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve profit objectives and identify new business opportunities by expanding into new markets and attracting new customers.
This role is based in NSW and requires the successful candidate to travel interstate to service a customer base in Southern QLD.
Essential Job Functions
* Achieve budgeted revenue, profitability, and market share targets
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company objectives
* Manage key customer relationships, attend to key accounts personally to ensure product and distribution arrangements are meeting customer needs
* Identify and develop new business opportunities across new markets and customers
* Provide technical sales support to customers in collaboration with internal specialists
* Plan, manage and direct the activities of the product group for the achievement of business objectives
* Establish regional sales plans, policies, and programs to meet growth targets
* Prepare sales budgets reports and product forecasts
* Resolve customer complaints and warranty claims / issues promptly and in line with company policies
* Drive product awareness through dealer training, sales tools, and point‑of‑sale materials
* Maintain strong product knowledge and pursue ongoing professional development
Key Requirements
* Extensive sales experience with proven technical aptitude and a passion to win new business
* Demonstrated track record of achieving Sales revenue targets
* Experience dealing with similar customer groups and having technical understanding of products
* Knowledge of the tender market and processes is highly desirable
* Experience with management of existing accounts and relationships
* Excellent customer service and client-facing skills
* Excellent written and communication skills
* The ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.
* Negotiation skills
* Knowledge of forecasting sales product mix, budgeting and expense management
* Highly motivated and possess an ability to build strong business relationships.
* Well-developed presentation and report writing skills
* Microsoft office programs knowledge – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Ability to travel interstate travel and within the state to rural customers, as required.
