About the role
The Program Leader – Skills and Training will establish and oversee programs that enhance the employability skills and future tertiary pathways of all students at the College. This includes overseeing the College Industry Placement and Work Experience programs. The Program Leader – Skills and Training will also operate as the College Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Compliance Manager. This position will facilitate collaboration with parents, business and industry, external RTO's, post-secondary institutions and community organisations to support student transition to post-secondary education and employment.
About the contract
This is a fixed term position. The initial appointment is four (4) years and a subsequent appointment of four (4) years dependent upon effective performance in the role. Regular performance reviews and appraisals for middle leaders at the College will be held according to a published schedule and consistent with college policy and relevant enterprise bargaining agreements. A formative review will occur in the second year of the appointment and a summative review in the fourth year of the contract.

To be considered for this role you will need:
· Valid working rights within Australia.
· Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
· Be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
· Professional qualifications in Education.
· Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
· Willingness to achieve Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School or Accreditation to Teach Religion in a Catholic School (Teachers of Religious Education).
· Willingness to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy and sacramental life of the Church in the school community.
· A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Ignatius Park College.
· Willingness to support the co-curricular program.
· Excellent classroom practitioner with extensive knowledge of boy-friendly pedagogy.
· Strong people management skills.
· Ability to manage conflict constructively and a willingness to challenge poor performance in staff.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Good administrative and organisational skills.
· Capability to inspire others to a shared vision.
