We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team at a metal recycling site. This role is an afternoon shift opportunity with regular overtime and the possibility to negotiate a market‐aligned salary.

About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems across heavy industrial plant and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
* Assisting with plant and equipment breakdowns through efficient fault finding and electrical troubleshooting
* Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
* Maintaining and repairing motors, control systems, and industrial electrical components
* Maintaining inventory control of electrical spare parts
* Managing and coordinating electrical contractors on small projects
* Completing all required safety documentation, including risk assessments and work permits
* Supporting the State Engineering Manager with procurement of electrical equipment
* Assisting with equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Electrical trade qualification and current NSW Electrical Licence
* Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or similar heavy industry environments
* Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills (exposure to PLC and SCADA systems is highly regarded)
* Experience working with motors, conveyors, and industrial plant (preferred)
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
* EWP (Elevated Work Platform) licence or willingness to obtain one
