Senior Mechanical Engineer
who thrives in a fast-paced, technically demanding, and highly creative environment. In this role, you'll be guiding the development of advanced mechanical systems. You'll provide both technical direction and project oversight, ensuring high-performance outcomes from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the mechanical design office, supporting and mentoring a team of engineers and designers.
* Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems including actuator arms, gearboxes, and aircraft structural assemblies.
* Ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with electronics, avionics, and composite structures.
* Drive design reviews, design documentation, and continuous improvement practices across the team.
* Maintain a hands-on presence when needed—supporting prototyping, fault-finding, and system testing.
* Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and leadership teams to align technical outcomes with broader project goals.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in mechanical design for complex systems (e.g., UAVs, aircraft, robotics, or automotive platforms).
* Demonstrated leadership or team management experience in an engineering environment.
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools) for 3D modeling and mechanical systems design.
* Practical knowledge of prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical systems.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Australian citizenship
Desirable but not mandatory:
* Aerospace engineering background with mechanical design experience.
* Knowledge of lightweight structural design and materials (e.g., composites, alloys).
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes for precision mechanical components.
