Location: Melton. Duration: 6-month contract opportunity. Hybrid work arrangement.
About the role: Our client is looking for an Azure Integration Developer to contribute to the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of integration solutions across a diverse suite of enterprise applications, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange across the organisation. This is a hands-on development role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure services, API management, and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the planning, design, and development of integration solutions using Azure Integration Services (Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management, CI/CD) and TechnologyOne tools (T1 Connect, REST APIs, Data Exchange, Ci Anywhere).
* Provide guidance on integration best practices, technical approaches, and solution design.
* Collaborate with business analysts, project teams, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions aligned with organisational objectives.
* Develop and maintain integration workflows, APIs, and scripts in line with architecture patterns, governance, security, and compliance standards.
* Maintain clear documentation including designs, mappings, configurations, and test artefacts.
Required skills and experience
* Expertise in designing and implementing integration platforms using Azure Integration Services (APIM, Logic Apps, Service Bus/Queue, Data Factory, Functions, Storage).
* Strong skills in API design and development aligned with RESTful standards (Swagger/OpenAPI), versioning, security, and performance optimisation.
* Proficiency with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS applications for seamless data exchange.
* Ability to apply theoretical and analytical methods to solve complex or unfamiliar problems.
* Understanding of Council's long‐term goals, values, and operating context.
