Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2: $135,826.03 - $138,534.10 per annum + rural incentives
Nurse / Midwife Practitioner: $143,851.09 - $154,025.92 per annum + rural incentives

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP) to join our Rural Generalist team at Lithgow Hospital. This advanced practice role is ideal for a highly skilled and motivated registered nurse who is educated and authorised to work both autonomously and collaboratively in an extended clinical capacity.

As a Rural Generalist NP/TNP, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing services that respond to the evolving needs of our community. You will deliver high‐level, clinically focused care across a diverse range of settings, including Emergency, Inpatient Units, the Portland Tabulam Multi‐Purpose Service, and in partnership with the Public Health Network. Your work will support holistic care for patients presenting with both acute and chronic conditions.

In this role, you will utilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills to assess and manage patients, which may include initiating diagnostic investigations, prescribing medications, and referring patients directly to other healthcare professionals. Your practice will be grounded in the values, theories and evidence base of the nursing profession, contributing to innovative, flexible and patient‐centred models of care.

What you will bring to the role
* Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner or working towards same as per the NMBA Guidelines on endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, with evidence of eligibility to attain authorisation within 2 years
* Post graduate qualifications in relevant clinical specialty deemed appropriate by the facility
* Demonstrated high level knowledge and advanced clinical nursing skills including comprehensive assessment, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities and relevant referral skills applied to a broad range of challenging, complex and changing situations.
* Demonstrated understanding of regional and rural community and ability to lead and implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the initiation, utilisation, and review of evidence-based research.
* Proven high level knowledge and expertise in complex patient centred consultancy, practice development activities including mentoring, education, active participation in communities of practice, policy development and quality improvement.
* Demonstrated advanced clinical leadership role, negotiation, liaison, interpersonal and problem‐solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability whilst working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Current Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
