We are seeking a Senior Leading Hand to oversee pavement and drainage building works, providing site supervision, managing leading hands, subcontractors, and their crew.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe work practices, meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and promoting a strong safety culture. Duties include:
* Managing site quality assurance and conformance activities
* Engaging with Traffic Management Centre counterparts
* Monitoring resource utilization, materials, and budgets
* Monitoring performance and efficiency, suggesting improvements
* Planning and scheduling work to meet timelines, organizing tasks with a two-week lookahead
* Leading and supporting the team, promoting whole-of-life cycle asset management
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role or civil roads experience, demonstrating:
* A valid White Card
* A current driver's license
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
* Experience in planning, organizing, and reading plans/drawings
* Traffic management knowledge
Preferred but not essential qualifications/tickets include Cert IV Construction Supervision, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Traffic Control Licence, plant tickets, HR driver's license. The successful candidate must have full working rights.
