We are currently seeking a Highly skilled Boilermakers and Pressure Welders to join our workshop team in Gladstone, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced work environment. You will be responsible for precision pipe fitting and welding, fabricating, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pipe Fitting & Welding: Proficiently complete pipe fitting and welding tasks, including passing a 6G GTAW weld test to ASME IX standards, and perform FCAW welding in 3G and 4G positions.
* Technical Drawing Interpretation: Accurately interpret isometric drawings and 3rd angle projection drawings to follow detailed specifications for all projects.
* Attention to Detail: Ensure precision and quality control in every aspect of the work, adhering to strict standards and tolerances.
* Commitment to Safety: Follow all workplace safety protocols, identify potential hazards, and prioritize a safe work environment for all team members.
* Strong Work Ethic: Demonstrate reliability, efficiency, and consistency while maintaining a positive, proactive approach to work.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing development and improvements in both personal skills and workshop practices to ensure the highest level of efficiency and productivity.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in pipe fitting and welding, specifically GTAW and FCAW (3G and 4G positions).
* Ability to interpret isometric and 3rd angle projection drawings with precision.
* 6G GTAW weld test certification to ASME IX standards.
* FCAW experience in 3G and 4G welding positions.
* Commitment to safety with a thorough understanding of industry safety standards.
* A strong work ethic and a desire for continuous improvement in a skilled environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
