Are you ready to make a difference in the community, oversee statewide service performance and drive continuous improvement across Adult Accommodation Facilities?
Anglicare Tasmania is seeking a permanent, full-time Manager – Adult Supported Accommodation Facilities (76 hours fortnightly) based in Hobart.
About the Role:
The Manager – Adult Supported Accommodation Facilities provides high‑level operational oversight, ensuring services are delivered to a consistently high standard and aligned with organisational objectives, funding agreements, and compliance requirements. The role leads statewide business processes, workforce capability, and performance systems to support effective service delivery and long‑term sustainability.
You will be accountable for operational excellence, financial stewardship, risk management, and the implementation of streamlined business practices that enhance service quality and organisational outcomes.
What you will be doing in this role:
* Lead and embed business practices and service modelling that are cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable, ensuring optimal use of resources, financial accountability, and consistent delivery of high-quality services aligned with organisational objectives and funding requirements.
* Ensure all Adult Accommodation sites are operating in accordance with their funding agreements, program policies, and accreditation requirements, including key support requirements through “The Deal”, Advantaged thinking and the six areas of person wellbeing;
* Work with the General Manager – Housing Services to ensure:
o Strategic objectives are effectively implemented;
o Service performance measures are regularly evaluated; o The ongoing financial sustainability of the Adult Accommodation Services portfolio, through effective budget management and the identification of efficiencies.
* Create and maintain statewide systems and procedures that ensure consistency of practice and operations across Adult Accommodation Services;
* Ensure tenancy management functions are delivered statewide in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act;
* Promote the voice of the client by ensuring effective mechanisms are in place to have clients involved in decision making and service design;
* Work closely with the Quality and Practice Partner to deliver effective Quality and Risk Management practices through reflective practice, continuous improvement and effective risk mitigation strategies across the statewide service;
* Effectively manage the Adult Accommodation Service workforce to:
o deliver high quality client services in accordance with trauma informed practices and program policy;
o ensure service delivery operates within prescribed program guidelines and policies;
o ensuring tenancy and property management functions are completed as per the requirements of the program policy;
o provide appropriate levels of support and guidance to team members including induction, professional supervision, regular work reviews and compliance with Anglicare policy and procedure including conduct and practice boundaries; o foster a positive team culture;
o ensure regular team meetings are convened and staff debriefing takes place as needed;
o ensure staff maintain accurate and appropriate case notes and other required service documentation;
o facilitate appropriate staff training and development;
* Complete all required program reporting including SHIP and Validata;
* Manage the statewide human resources functions in conjunction with Team Leaders and the Human Resources Team to facilitate conflict resolution; resolve performance management issues; conduct concerns; recruitment of staff; and workforce planning as required;
* Work with the General Manager – Housing Services and other key personnel on the preparation of service agreements, tenders and reports relating to programs;
* Work with the Quality and Practice Partner to develop and implement policy and procedures, and complete evaluations, internal quality assurance reviews and other planning processes;
* Represent and promote Anglicare within the broader community by building and maintaining networks that include government bodies, community organisations and partners;
* Maintain a safe working environment and adopt safe work practices by adhering to Workplace Health and Safety policy and procedures and by working in a responsible manner to ensure the safety of oneself, other staff members, clients and visitors to Anglicare.
About You:
You will bring strong commercial acumen, operational leadership capability, and experience managing complex service environments. You will also demonstrate:
* High‑level understanding of the broader policy and regulatory environment affecting accommodation and tenancy services.
* Strong capability in conflict resolution, supervisory practice, and workforce leadership.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, including tenancy law, family violence requirements, and mandatory reporting.
* Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and implement solutions in a dynamic environment.
* Experience building stakeholder relationships and representing an organisation at a senior level.
* Alignment with Anglicare’s mission and values.
* Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in database and reporting systems.
* Completion of a Bachelor of Business Degree or other relevant tertiary qualification and/or clearly demonstrated extensive experience attained through appointments, service and/or study. Previous senior or supervisory experience is also required. Demonstrated leadership and management experience and qualifications.

The successful applicant will be required to:
* provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
* present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
* provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
* provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical;
* provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver’s Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
This position is available for an immediate start and applications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
