Electrical Engineer for Exhibit Technology Development
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and develop innovative technology approaches for our exhibits. The ideal candidate will ensure that all exhibits comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement novel electronic and mechatronic devices that interact with computers, adhering to Australian electrical standards and EESS requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technology solutions into exhibits, prioritizing safety and child-focused design considerations.
* Develop custom electronic circuits, wire AC mains voltage systems, and mitigate electromagnetic interference using relevant safety regulations.
* Perform on-site installations, testing, and maintenance of exhibit technology, ensuring seamless operations.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
* A minimum of 3 years' practical experience in electrical engineering (LV and ELV systems) or a similar field.
* National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in interfacing machine components via hardware/software and writing higher-level software to coordinate control.
* Familiarity with circuit design, PCB layout tools (Altium or similar), and programming languages such as Python, C++, and LabVIEW.
* Understanding of Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3820:2020, AS/NZS 3000:2018) and EESS requirements.
