SHL, the global leader in talent innovation, is seeking a Business Development Representative to help build and maintain our sales pipeline in collaboration with the Enterprise Sales Team, Marketing and Sales Operations. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Sales (ANZ) and collaborating closely with our commercial teams, you’ll source, drive, and establish contact with prospects across all industries. What you'll be doing:
1. Outbound hunting - Source new sales prospects and contact them to secure first appointments for the Enterprise sales team
2. Contact potential customers captured and cultivated by the Marketing Team to secure appointments for the Enterprise sales team
3. Effectively communicate the value of our SHL products and services to prospective customers while learning about their needs to identify if there is a good fit.
4. Partner with the Enterprise sales team to create customised outbound email/ call scripts to assist in outbound prospecting activities
5. Provide feedback to Marketing Team regarding the quality of marketing-sourced leads
6. Recruit key prospect executives to webinars, virtual events, etc.
What we would like to see from you:
7. Degree in Business or Huma Resources and/or equivalent industry experience.
8. 1–3 years experience in lead generation or business development in a B2B sales environment.
9. Communication (verbal, writing) & collaboration skills
10. Organising & time management skills
11. Learning & researching skills - able to learn new solutions and services, research new companies and new contacts aligned to SHL’s buyer personas
12. Influencing & persuading skills - able to effectively negotiate, promote/sell ideas persuasively
13. Able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticism, rejection, or failure
14. Able to work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, Customer Success, etc.)
15. Experience with Excel, Salesforce.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DemandBase ABM will be a bonus.
The candidate must have the right to work in Australia without sponsorship.
