About the Role We’re currently looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with a strong mix of functional and automation testing experience to join our consulting team. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on across both disciplines, with strong capability in Playwright/TypeScript, and a background in Banking or Financial Services. You’ll play a key role in building and scaling automation capability across complex enterprise systems. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript) Develop robust, reusable automation scripts (not record-and-playback) Implement and optimise advanced locator strategies (dynamic selectors, stability improvements) Troubleshoot and resolve flaky tests and automation failures, improving reliability Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing Perform API and integration automation, validating complex data flows across systems Execute functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across enterprise platforms Contribute to automation strategy and uplift, helping teams adopt best practices What We’re Looking For Strong experience as a Hybrid Tester (Functional Automation) Hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript Proven ability to build automation frameworks from scratch Mandatory experience within Banking or Financial Services environments Strong understanding of automation design patterns (POM, modular frameworks, etc.) Experience integrating automation into CI/CD environments (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps) Solid experience in integration testing across complex systems Strong debugging skills and ability to analyse and resolve automation issues Must have valid Australian work rights (no sponsorship available) Why Join NRI Planit?
