Overview
The Area Contract Logistics Customer Retention Manager plays a key role in driving customer satisfaction, retention, and growth across a defined portfolio of contract logistics customers.
This position focuses on strengthening long‐term customer relationships, improving service delivery, and identifying opportunities to expand existing business. Working closely with internal stakeholders and customers, you will ensure a consistent, high‐quality experience while supporting the rollout of sector strategies and customer engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Own and manage all customer retention activities for a defined portfolio of customers.
* Drive proactive renewal planning, including tracking timelines, risks, and opportunities.
* Ensure high service performance by working with operations teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
* Implement and manage customer engagement programs, including training, tool deployment, and continuous improvement plans.
* Identify and deliver improvement and innovation initiatives to enhance customer expectations.
* Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment with commercial policies and customer expectations.
* Identify opportunities to expand scope and introduce additional services within existing accounts.
* Execute Voice of Customer initiatives and ensure feedback is translated into actionable improvements.
Qualifications
* 5–10 years of experience within contract logistics, supply chain, or customer management roles.
* Strong understanding of warehousing and distribution operations within a 3PL environment.
* Experience managing key customer relationships and driving retention or account growth.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
* Customer‐centric mindset with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience with structured customer programs, KPIs, and performance management is advantageous.
