The opportunity

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our team on‐site in Sydney. This is a site‐based role, requiring hands‐on involvement in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, report progress, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to guarantee systems and equipment operate efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

* Perform electrical testing and commissioning procedures for water and wastewater treatment systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues promptly.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
* Collaborate with project teams to meet commissioning milestones.
* Prepare detailed reports on commissioning progress and outcomes.

About you

* Proven experience in process and commissioning for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure (essential).
* Experience in water treatment commissioning is essential.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills for electrical systems.
* Solid understanding of Electrical and Process Engineering principles in a project environment.
* Hands‐on experience in testing electrical systems for functionality and safety.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Relevant industry certifications and knowledge of safety standards are advantageous.
