We are looking for an experienced APS5 Program Officer to join a federal government client on an initial 12-month non-ongoing contract. Existing APS employees will be eligible for a temporary transfer.
In this role you will work on a range of venture capital programs and innovative projects and will have the opportunity to assist in the implementation of significant government innovation policies, including working collaboratively with other agencies, stakeholder organisations and businesses.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Contribute towards the delivery of a broad range of venture capital programs.
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders on complex issues relating to the administration of venture capital programs.
- Ensure program compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks.
- Liaise with program fund managers on fund requests and compliance with program guidelines and directions.
- Assess committee papers to ensure they meet legislative requirements and guidelines.
**Essential Requirements**
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work which involves managing multiple priorities with persistent workflows.
- Experience working within a collaborative way.
- Expertise in law, accounting or finance and across program and contract management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to be able to critically analyse information and contribute towards solving problems, including understanding legislative requirements.
This role is based in Canberra with flexible working options.
