\
This role involves supporting, surveillance and reporting on environmental aspects of construction work packages onsite and engaging with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure good safety outcomes. The Environmental Supervisor will act as an advisory position supporting the Project Managers as the eyes and ears on the ground, influencing outcomes and providing feedback to enable swift resolutions. The role includes supervising and managing the environmental deliverables for ElectraNet components of field construction activity.

Responsibilities
\
\
1. Manage and respond effectively to complex and multilayered field activities
\
2. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental controls are in place, are effective and appropriately managed
\
3. Exercise independent professional judgement, high-level influencing and, if required, intervention on the effectiveness of HSE controls and management by contractors
\
4. Oversee and coordinate environmental aspects of packages of work that ElectraNet directly engage suppliers and contractors for
\
5. Manage responsibilities for ElectraNet as Principal Contractor
\
6. Build relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups and provide high-quality Health and Safety advice
\\
7. Oversight of contractor performance in delivering major high voltage infrastructure projects
\\
8. Management of cultural heritage surveys, soil sampling and groundwater testing and data analysis
\\
9. Application of relevant environmental management legislation
\\
10. Expert knowledge of contemporary environmental practices and key issues as relevant to construction
\\
11. Sound analytical, auditing and investigation skills, including knowledge of ICAM or similar
\\
12. Management of environmental and information systems, particularly Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

Requirements
\
\
13. Extensive experience in a similar environmental position supporting the construction of general and/or high voltage work packages
\
14. Previous experience with field environmental monitoring techniques, including vegetation surveys, soil sampling and groundwater testing and data analysis
\
15. Demonstrated experience in the application of relevant environmental management legislation
\
16. Expert knowledge of contemporary environmental practices and key issues as relevant to construction
\
17. Sound analytical, auditing and investigation skills, including knowledge of ICAM or similar
\
18. Management of environmental and information systems, particularly Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
\\
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\\
20. Ability to build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups
\\
21. Able to provide high-quality Health and Safety advice
\\
