About Us:

Our client is a leading Engineering company that specialises in offering various engineering services across the mining/resources sector. Due to embarking in new machine technology for fabrication projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to manage the entire job order process and all client liaison. This position is being offered on a full-time basis with an immediate start available.
The Role
* Prepare accurate and timely job quotes in accordance with design criteria.
* Accurately calculate labour times for specific tasks for inclusion in job pricing.
* Submit competitive tenders/quotations in accordance with their policy/procedures and accepted gross margins.
* Actively follow up quotes and tenders to win consistent work at accepted margins.
* Liaise with suppliers, trades and customers throughout the project.
* Monitor scope of works and claim any contract variations as they arise.
* Assist Management and Production with project related issues, such as the resolution of production queries and coordination of the production schedules to meet project time frames.
Key Requirements
* 2-5 years hands on estimating experience gained within the Engineering sector.
* Relevant qualifications in Building and Construction Management, Design or Engineering.
* Excellent PC skills, including Excel Spreadsheets and experience using estimating software and drawing applications such as, Tekla, Primecut and Versafab.
* Strong communication skills, verbal/written and ability to develop strong relationships.
* Sound skill in understanding and interpreting technical drawings, plans and contract documentation.
