Your Opportunity
As the Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator you will provide leadership to the Learning Management System (LMS) team, providing guidance, motivation and support to staff in their role of delivering an exceptional experience for internal and external clients. You will promote the usage of online technologies across educational teams to support programs and objectives.
This position reports to the Manager, Product Services.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
The position is flexible and can be based at any TAFE Queensland campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities, including guiding, engaging and mentoring the LMS team.
- Coordinate the development of course shells, unit offerings, student hubs and orientation within defined timelines to release on the Learning Management System/s for educator and student use.
- Lead activities, including engaging with Educational Team Leaders (ETL) and educators, to ensure TAFE Queensland’s Learning Management System/s product meets the expectations of clients and is reliable and delivers quality outcomes.
- Represent the region at local and state-wide network meetings and share gathered information with stakeholders.
- Actively engage with stakeholders to enable smooth transitioning, of current practices, to the relevant learning management system/s.
- Develop and document clear processes for local help desk support.
- Coordinate regional help desk support for the Learning Management System/s users and educators.
- Coordinate the setup of online and blended course materials, related products and activities where Master Product is not available.
- Coordinate the reconciliation of relevant data storage activities.
- Provide reports on the Learning Management System/s; including usage data; access; statistical reports and course analytics.
- Review and report inconsistencies highlighted in the Learning Management System/s Analytics, identifying potential challenges.
- Contribute to the development of procedures, work instructions and forms, online blended course materials and related products, in line with TAFE Queensland’s quality assurance framework for blended and online delivery.
- Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
- Maintain currency of knowledge relating to online and eLearning products and related information technology systems.
Highly Desirable
- Knowledge and practical experience with D2L Brightspace (Desire2Learn) Learning Management System, including course administration and user support.
How You Will Be Assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrate proven experience in the administration and maintenance of systems in an eLearning or online environment including knowledge of related software and hardware, and the ability to apply knowledge to the development of online products.
- Display flexibility and responsiveness and have the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
- Demonstrate high level planning, organising, analysis and problem‑solving skills demonstrated through quality and efficient delivery of business outcomes.
- Demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to consult with a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve team and organisational objectives.
- Proven ability to manage own and others’ time effectively through scheduling, prioritisation and delegation.
