Job Responsibilities
* Under direct supervision, coordinate the movement of goods within domestic and international markets, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
* Utilize knowledge of transportation constraints and experience in one or two transport modes (Ocean, Air, or Land) to navigate complex logistics.
* Coordinate pre-shipping instructions and collaborate with service providers on movements.
* Oversee the coordination of orders for shipment from origin to destination, guaranteeing timely delivery while interfacing with customers to provide progress updates.
* Maintain accurate records of shipping requirements.
* Analyze data on service provider value and plan short-term business needs, optimizing the movement of shipments.
* Employ logistics systems to perform job duties, ensuring correct and timely transactions.
* Record data measurements to identify trends and optimize logistics services.
* Pack, mark, label, and measure cargo to ensure accurate weight and dimensions.
Qualifications
* Familiarity with financial and accounting functions, particularly validation of rates and charges on invoices.
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering, supplemented by 1-2 years of logistics experience.
* IATA/IMDG certification may be required based on scope of work.
