What you'll be doing
You'll lead PHIC's operations, strategy, and advocacy efforts, ensuring members' interests are advanced through effective policy, governance, and stakeholder relations.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Lead strategy, policy, and advocacy for PHIC.
* Represent PHIC with government, industry, media, and community.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
* Oversee governance, finance, and compliance.
* Drive member engagement and value delivery.
* Lead a small, high-performing team.
* Develop and implement annual work plans and KPIs.
* Influence legislation, regulation, and policy outcomes.
About You
You are a strategic, politically astute leader with a proven track record in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and organisational leadership, ideally with experience in regional or resource-based communities.
* Minimum 10 years' senior leadership in NFP, government, or industry association.
* Proven record in advocacy, policy influence, and government relations.
* Strong governance, strategic planning, and board reporting skills.
* Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
* Financial and business management expertise.
* Experience in media, public relations, and public speaking.
* Knowledge of WA Government processes and environmental regulation.
* Experience in regional/resource sector communities (highly desirable).
