The Mechanical Engineering Manager will oversee the repair process for Asset Related Production Delays, provide clear guidance to engineers, supervise mechanical tasks, manage contractors and personnel, and own the mechanical aspects of the Maintenance Management system. Additionally, they will develop a capital maintenance plan for major refurbishments, replacements, and upgrades of mechanical assets.
This individual should possess relevant Mechanical Trades qualifications, a Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Degree, Reliability Engineering certification, and tertiary qualifications in Maintenance & Asset Management. Experience with fixed and mobile mining equipment, underground coal mining in a supervisory role, planning and execution techniques, and CMMS systems are also essential.

* 5 years underground coal mining experience in a supervisory role
We seek an experienced professional with a high level of understanding of equipment reliability trending analysis, oil and filter report interpretation, VA and thermography report interpretation, and continuous improvement methodology.
Responsibilities will include conducting safety inspections, completing JSEA's, risk assessments, and permits. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
