About the role
Nova Systems is expanding its support to the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Integrated Workforce Program within the Australian Department of Defence and CASG. We are seeking GWEO domain‐experienced professionals to support the delivery of this national priority capability. These roles form part of Nova's GWEO portfolio, working with Defence and industry partners to strengthen Australia's sovereign guided weapons and explosive ordnance capability. We currently have permanent opportunities across four disciplines:
* Explosive Ordnance (EO) Engineers at various levels
* Cyber Engineers at senior levels
* Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Consultants, Engineers and Practitioners
* Project Managers with Defence acquisition and sustainment experience
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high‐impact programs in a technically demanding and highly regulated environment.
What you will be involved with
You will support CASG and Defence programs focused on guided weapons and explosive ordnance capability, contributing to the planning, delivery and sustainment of critical systems. Depending on your discipline, your work will include:
* Supporting acquisition and sustainment activities across GWEO programs
* Working within Defence governance and assurance frameworks
* Engaging with APS stakeholders, ADF users and Defence Prime contractors
* Contributing to the uplift of engineering, logistics and project delivery maturity across the portfolio
* Helping shape Australia's sovereign guided weapons and explosive ordnance capability
What we are looking for
We are seeking professionals with Defence or closely aligned experience who can work confidently in complex, multi‐stakeholder environments.
Explosive Ordnance (EO) Engineers
You will bring experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Recognised engineering degree by Engineers Australia
* Weapons engineering, warheads, fuzes, energetics and explosive materials
* Guided and non‐guided weapons systems, rockets, missiles or munitions
* Experience within Explosive Materiel Branch, GWEO Delivery Division or CASG engineering teams
* Test and evaluation, technical investigations and Safety and Suitability for Service activities
* Configuration management and technical data management for EO systems
Project Managers
You will bring:
* Recognised project management qualifications or accreditations
* Experience managing multidisciplinary delivery teams within CASG or GWEO environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement across Defence Primes, APS and technical teams
* Schedule management, cost control, and risk and issue management capability
* Experience delivering projects through the One Defence Capability System from Gate 0 through to FOC
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Consultants
You will bring experience in:
* Development of ILS artefacts including ILS Plans, LORA, RAM, provisioning and CDRLs
* Support system definition and sustainment strategies for guided weapons and explosive ordnance
* MILIS or SAP, configuration management and through‐life capability management
* Stakeholder engagement across APS, ADF users, engineering teams and industry partners
You must be an Australian citizen and hold an existing Defence security clearance for these roles.
