The Role
The Senior Sales Engineer is a technical consultant who supports Thales CSP Data Security products and solutions. They work closely with the sales team to advocate Thales CSP solutions and achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide presales technical support to the local sales team, working closely with the account team to drive business growth on assigned accounts and territory.
* Discover and qualify customer business and technical requirements, proposing the best fitting Thales security solutions to address customer pain points and project needs.
* Collaborate with stakeholders in Thales CSP team (Marketing, Business Development, etc.) to advocate Thales CSP products and solutions in customer space.
* Serve as a technical advisor to customers, guiding on security best practices and industry compliance, supporting digital transformation with Thales security solutions.
* Prepare technical proposals and solution architecture documents for customer projects and RFPs.
* Conduct technical workshops and training for customers and partners, enabling customer know-how and adoption of Thales security solutions.
* Gather customer feedback and collaborate with product managers on product enhancements.
* Deliver product installations and configurations for customer testing, supporting customer POCs.
* Support partner product integration and certification testing.
Required Experience
* Degree in a computer-related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Analysis, etc.).
* At least 10 years' experience in IT, ideally in IT Security, in a pre-sales or consultancy role.
* Strong knowledge of government domain is preferred.
* Proven experience in technical solutioning and architecture, partnering with sales to deliver security solutions for large organizations.
* Knowledge of database queries, cryptographic standards (PKCS, JCE, PKI).
* Experience with database activity monitoring, encryption solutions, data protection technologies, PKI, etc.
* Knowledge of DevOps environment and secrets management is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
* CISSP or equivalent security qualification is advantageous.
