You will lead daily warehouse operations while continuously identifying and implementing process improvements across inventory control, fulfilment, shipping, and systems integration.
You will be expected to:
Operational Leadership & Lean Improvement
Lead day-to-day warehouse operations: receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, returns
Drive lean process initiatives (5S, workflow redesign, waste reduction, productivity optimisation)
Continuously review and improve SOPs to increase efficiency, accuracy and throughput
Analyse KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance
Optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and material flow
Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence
Inventory & Systems Management
Ensure accurate inventory control, cycle counting, stock rotation and reconciliation
Investigate root causes of discrepancies and implement preventative solutions
Oversee and optimise WMS usage and reporting
Integrate and manage customer IT systems (EDI, portals, retailer compliance systems)
Strengthen system integration between WMS, finance, and customer platforms
Manage B2B and eCommerce B2C shipping operations
Oversee courier and freight provider relationships (rate negotiation, service levels, performance reviews)
Monitor DIFOT, freight cost control and service KPIs
Drive improvements in dispatch accuracy and turnaround times
People & Safety Leadership
Lead, develop, and performance-manage warehouse staff
Create clear productivity benchmarks and team accountability
Ensure WHS/OHS compliance and safe work practices
Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities to operational standard
What We're Looking For
Proven experience leading warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment
Experience managing medium sized teams (up to 20) in a seasonal environment
Demonstrated success implementing lean process improvement initiatives
Strong working knowledge of WMS and inventory management systems
Experience managing B2B and eCommerce fulfilment
Hands-on leadership style — visible on the floor, leading by example
Strong analytical and KPI-driven mindset
Highly Desirable
Experience working with customer IT systems, EDI, retailer compliance portals
Experience managing courier and shipping providers
Background in process re-engineering or operational transformation
Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing or Supply Chain
Forklift licence and understanding of MHE operations
