About the role
Working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, theBusiness Development Executiveis responsible for developing and maintaining sales activity for the assigned account bases aligned to Doma Hotels annual business and strategic revenue plans. This rolewill also be responsible for developing new business opportunities to drive continual growth and revenue into the Doma Group national hotel portfolio
* Drive increased corporate and group sales activity to achieve our national business targets and objectives
* Build strong relationships resulting in repeat business across the hotel portfolio
* prospect for new business via tools available, including arranging client face-to- face meetings
* draft and review contracts and RFP's
* conduct site inspections showcasing the portfolio of Doma Hotels to new and existing clients
* monitor competitor information and activities through client feedback, local knowledge and research
* meet minimum sales calls/appointment targets weekly
* proactively source leisure group business for the DOMA hotels portfolio
* represent and promote Doma Hotels through trade shows and industry events
* prepare sale reports as required for senior management
* conduct quarterly reviews with allocated account base
What you will bring

Naturally, your previous experience within a luxury hospitality setting will include:
* Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a sales / BDE role within a hotel setting
* ability to develop, build and manage strong professional relationships
* in depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques
* strong local market and competitors' knowledge
* exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* strong negotiation & follow up skills
* advanced time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* deep understanding of hotel consortia programs, RFPs and IT applications:Opera, Global Distribution System and Microsoft suite
* ability to travel interstate on occasion
**This role can be performed at either one of our Canberra, Sydney or Newcastle locations. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are also available.
