Overview
We have exciting news! We are now offering hybrid roles at Eat. Speak. Repeat. We are looking to hire qualified speech pathologists and occupational therapists to work under a hybrid role. So what does this mean?
For ESR, a hybrid role would be:
* Part of your contractual hours working from one or both of our clinics
* The remainder of your contractual hours working remotely in your LGA - this could be telehealth appointments from home, completing your admin, or seeing clients within your LGA.
The ratio of clinic days-to-community days is completely individualised and will be decided after discussion with yourself and our Director, Nikita.
We are flexible with the days and hours you work - work as little as one day, 3.5 days, or as many as 5 full days if you are after full time hours. We want someone who is eager to progress in their career and provide supervision and mentoring to less-experienced clinicians once established in our clinic (around 6 months into the role - but we will work with you for when you are ready to take the next step in your career).
Responsibilities
* providing assessment, therapy, education, and recommendation to clients from infants to the elderly, or to community organisations.
* providing therapy both in the clinic and in the community including preschools and schools.
* creating resources as needed for the clinic and clients.
* participating in weekly staff meetings including presenting on topics of interest.
* creating social media resources as needed.
* once established, the role would include providing support to our AHA's or placement students. The above duties would also shift to allow for you to provide supports to others on the team without burning out.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds a qualification in speech pathology and current certified practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia, OR holds a qualification in occupational therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
* Has an understanding of neurodiversity-affirming practice or a willingness to add these principles into your practice.
* Has excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
* Has a willingness to progress in their career and is eager to support the next generation of speech pathologists.
* Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Has a current working with children check, first aid and CPR certificate, and national police check.
* Has up-to-date vaccination as per NSW Health employment guidelines
We highly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and those with disability to apply. Please address selection criteria in your cover letter.
Working pattern and benefits
Working hybrid, you will get:
* A 'go pack' for your car that includes handouts, assessments, and therapy resources to do your job well.
* An iPad for AAC use and completing any online activities or assessments.
* Either access to a work car or reimbursed for your travel during work hours.
Among the other amazing resources detailed below.
Why Work With Us?
We feel we offer an absolutely fantastic work environment for all staff. One that is inclusive, supportive, neurodiversity-affirming, and full of passion!
* Our clinic runs on a flexible workweek, allowing you to work under a flexible schedule that suits you.
* We are flexible on the hours you work. If you can only work 2 days a week, that's no problem with us! Want to work all 5 days? Go right ahead! Need to work a half day - no worries at all!
* No therapist is over booked - It's important that all of your clients are given appropriate amounts of time dedicated to their therapy plans, so overbooking would mean we sacrifice the quality of service to the client and compromise our staff - something we absolutely don't want to do.
* We encourage work-life-balance where work can stay at work.
* We give you the option of a 30 or 60 minute lunch break. You may be someone who likes going for a long walk over lunch or you may want to take a nap (no judgement here!), so the 60 minute option would be perfect for you. Or you might just prefer a quick break before getting back into work!
* We have quarterly staff socials to ensure our team have time to unwind with each other.
* We pay above award rates, plus we offer a generous professional development allowance AND up to 3 days of paid professional development leave (allowance and leave is dependant on the number of full days you work).
* You'll get regular PD opportunities through weekly staff meetings.
* Everything is provided for you, so you don't need to bring a thing. You'll get your own room, a laptop, access to shared iPads, and the most insane amount of resources.
* All your scheduling is done for you with our admin team (they're superstars), and you can request support with resource making from our AHA or admin staff.
* You get regular supervision. We can and do source external supervision where needed if someone on the team doesn't specialise in a certain area of practice you're needing support with.
We take joy seriously at Eat. Speak. Repeat. and encourage laughter as often as possible. We strive for a workplace that is light hearted and joyous. We want positivity and fun to radiate throughout both of our clinics and beyond.
If this sounds like a job for you, please reach out! Let's grab a coffee and see how we can make Eat. Speak. Repeat. your new home.
