Robert Plumb Management, a key part of the Collective, supports all our businesses with dedicated HR, Safety, Finance, and Operations services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Advisor to join our supportive team. In this role, you will work closely with the HR Manager and HR Administrator to provide essential support across a broad range of HR activities. The role is based in Botany, and we are open to full time or part time arrangements, with the option to work across four days, or five days with reduced hours.
About the role
As a HR Advisor, you will be a trusted HR generalist who enjoys building relationships, supporting leaders, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Work closely with the HR team to provide advice and support to all employees, managers, and directors on day‐to‐day HR queries
* Manage multiple stakeholders effectively and maintain strong working relationships
* Support managers with both informal and formal employee relations processes
* Lead end‐to‐end recruitment for selected roles, including advertising, screening, interviewing, and providing advice to managers to support informed hiring decisions
* Coordinate onboarding activities with the HR Administrator, including reviewing contracts, running inductions, and ensuring each new employee has a seamless start
* Support probation review processes and ensure timely follow‐up
* Provide key support across employee lifecycle activities, including yearly performance and remuneration reviews
* Work with the HR Manager on continuous improvement activities, including reviewing HR processes and policies
* Partner with the Health and Safety Manager to promote safe work practices, and assist with return‐to‐work processes and documentation when required
About you
* HR qualifications (preferred)
* Demonstrated generalist experience in a HR Advisor or similar role
* Strong communication, relationship building, empathy, and problem solving skills
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing demands
* A solid understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
* Experience in construction or a blue‐collar environment (advantageous, not essential)
