**Who we are**
The Operations Division consists of the Communication and Media Branch, the People Strategy, Safety and Wellbeing Branch and the Capability and Employment Branch. The division ensures the department has a strong and well-supported workforce with the capability and capacity to deliver on the Government's climate change and energy agenda and protect Australia's environment and water resources. The division also ensures that information about the department's work in support of this agenda is both available to, and understood by, the Australian public.
The Communications and Media Branch consists of highly skilled public affairs staff and is the centralised communication hub for the department. The branch provides strategic communication advice and creative content delivery to help meet the department's objectives. This includes media and social media advice and services, strategic communication services for internal and external audiences and campaign management. The branch also provides professional and coordinated web, videography and graphic design services. A key role of the Branch is to work with embedded communication areas and independent teams to ensure all communication effort is strategically coordinated, integrated and aligned across the whole department. The Communication and Media Branch structure has been aligned to the department's strategic objectives, and consists of the following sections:

- Communication Strategy and Services (Energy and Markets)
- Media
- Stakeholder Engagement and Social Media
- Corporate Communication, Creative Services & Campaigns
- Digital Services and User Design
**The Communication Strategy and Services** teams are responsible for working with the department's business areas to communicate departmental policies, programs and services, and providing communication advice and support to the Minister's offices. This includes development and implementation of communication strategies, content and tactics across all of the department's portfolios.
**The Stakeholder Engagement and Social Media** team is responsible for the department's social media strategy, guidance and channels. Working with the strategic communication teams, it provides advice to policy areas on stakeholder engagement and the use of engagement tools such as Converlens for internal and external Have Your Say consultations. The team also services the Communication and Media Branch's business management and procurement needs, as well as managing the department's customer enquiry service centre. It is also engaged in supporting and developing the network of communication practitioners that work across the department.
**The Corporate Communication, Production and Campaigns** team manages the department's internal communication activities and provides support to the Secretary and executive to ensure staff are aware of the department's strategic priorities. The team drives employee engagement through events and storytelling, as well as developing and implementing communication strategies and intranet content. The team is responsible for production of advertising materials and content for paid advertising (both campaign and non-campaign). The team produces high-quality graphic design and video production assets and advises on departmental use of video and digital products.
**The Digital Services and User Design** team manage external websites, delivers web publishing services for the department and provides analytics and accessibility advice. The team administers, builds and publishes consultations for engagement with departmental stakeholders. The team also facilitates and delivers web projects for the department including UX web content and UI design services.
