Firefighter Role
The Firefighter role involves providing emergency response services to the community, ensuring a high level of professionalism and efficiency in fire response, road crash rescue/entrapments, technical rescues, hazardous material incidents, and other emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly to emergency calls and conduct thorough assessments to determine the nature of the incident.
* Operate specialized equipment, such as emergency response vehicles and firefighting gear, with precision and caution.
* Administer first aid and resuscitation techniques when required.
* Maintain equipment, resources, and facilities in a state of operational readiness.
Requirements:
* A valid Blue Card is essential, accompanied by relevant documentation.
* Holding a Manual Medium Rigid (MR) driver's license is mandatory.
* A current Apply First Aid Certificate is required.
* An Advanced Resuscitation Certificate must be up-to-date.
* Candidates must comply with QFD medical and fitness standards.
* A Criminal History Check and Clinical Psychometric Assessment are also necessary.
