Job Title: Aboriginal Assistant Manager Position
About the Role:
As a seasoned professional in youth justice, you will have the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering impactful programs aimed at reducing re-offending rates among juvenile offenders. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Aboriginal community, to ensure successful program delivery.
- Manage team members effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ongoing performance management and development of staff.
- Oversee the supervision of staff in delivering intervention and facilitating youth justice conferences.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks posed to the community by clients.
- Maintain accurate records and data integrity within the CIMS system.
- Collaborate with colleagues, Area Managers, and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Communicate decisions made at a management level clearly to staff.
Requirements:
- Recognised tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- A current Driver's Licence.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
