**About the role**
We are currently seeking an experienced Access Coordinator or a qualified Electrician looking for an opportunity to be trained as Transmission and Distribution Operator, from our Bendigo depot servicing our Northwest region of Victoria.
The position is required to effectively manage network access and outages through preparation of appropriate paperwork to the network authority in order to enable safe and effective field workforce.
**Key Responsibilities include**
- Effectively operate on transmission &/ sub-transmission apparatus
- Identify areas of continuous improvements to help provide a more cost effect and higher quality product to both internal and external clients
- Ensure the implementation of the agreed quality control measures and provide high level advice and support to team members in undertaking tasks and implementing plans as required
- Visit sites as required to assess most safe and efficient delivery methodology, identify risks and prepare mitigation strategies
- Manage customer expectations and the needs of the business
**About You**
- Extensive working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks
- Experience in the preparation and lodgement of switching instructions
- An understanding of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks and VESI requirements and HSEQ issues as they relate to electrical operations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Flexibility to work after hours as required
- Trade Qualification/Cert III Power and current Australian driver's licence
