What You Will Do
- The Immunisation Programs Nurse delivers expert immunisation advice to general practitioners, healthcare professionals, and the community.
- Oversees provider audits and manages cold chain breaches.
- Evaluates applications for vaccine account numbers and yellow fever accreditation.
- Supports the coordination and delivery of immunisation initiatives across the Local Health District, including the NSW School Vaccination Program.
- Contributes to disease surveillance and public health response, and actively engages in outbreak management and emerging health threats.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Current Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and authority to provide Immunisation Services as per NSW Authorised Registered Nurses and Midwives Vaccination Standards
- High level experience and knowledge of vaccines, vaccine administration, vaccine preventable diseases, cold chain management and adverse events following immunisation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with adolescents and people from areas of disadvantage and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
- High-level proficiency in implementing current NSW Health immunisation policies
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Teams); experience with databases and AIR is desirable
- Current NSW State Driver’s Licence (P1 or above)
