The Role
We are seeking highly skilled Gate Attendants to join our team for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, collecting gate fees, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patrons.
Key Responsibilities
* Event Preparation: Assist in setting up gates, including Point of Sale facilities.
* Gate Operations: Collect entrance fees, monitor attendance, and enforce smoking restrictions and no-alcohol policies.
* Communication: Maintain contact with security and Match Managers during shifts.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and public relation skills, with the ability to sustain a welcoming disposition throughout your shift.
* Patron Management: Ensure all patrons check-in to the venue and remain attentive at the gate until the agreed-upon time.
* Cash Handling: Ability to use Point of Sale facilities, handle cash transactions, and collect change and money bags/trays from the Match Manager.
* Teamwork: Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours work and weekends, and as part of a team.
* Diversity and Inclusion: Quickly establish rapport with people from various backgrounds and cultures, possessing Conflict Resolution Skills if required.
* Safety and Security: Working With Children accreditation and First Aid qualifications desirable but not essential.
