Senior Foreman / Leading Carpenter (Contract – ABN)
Location: Sydney (North Shore & Hills District)
Projects: Custom renovations & custom homes ($1m–$3m)
Engagement: Contract role (ABN required)
About the Role
We are a boutique residential builder seeking an experienced, technically strong Senior Foreman / Leading Carpenter to take day-to-day control of our sites.
This is a hands-on contract role, suited to someone who knows how residential projects should be built and enjoys being on site driving progress and quality.
You'll work directly with the Director, who handles client communication and commercial decisions, while you focus on site delivery and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
* Daily on-site supervision of residential projects
* Coordinating and sequencing trades
* Reading and interpreting architectural & engineering drawings
* Setting out works and checking critical dimensions
* Overseeing:
* Excavation and earthworks
* Formwork & concrete
* Framing carpentry
* Fix-out carpentry
* Waterproofing
* Structural steel
* Finishing trades
* Identifying issues early and proposing practical solutions
* Maintaining site quality, safety, and order
* Basic site reporting (photos, progress updates)

About You
* Qualified carpenter or strong trade background
* 15+ years experience in residential construction
* Proven experience on high-end renovations or custom homes
* Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving ability
* Strong knowlege of NCC and Australian Standards
* Confident managing trades and site sequencing
* Comfortable working as an ABN contractor
* Reliable, practical, and quality-focused
