About the role
As a Registered Nurse, you will join a well-established team with the support of a full-time Nurse Educator. Working in collaboration with the Professional Services Leader, you will be responsible for delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care, applying knowledge in all aspects of care. Your role will be to apply competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality resident outcomes, complying with the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Practice within AHPRA Standards for Practice and Codes of Conduct
- Complete clinically accurate assessments and care plans according to policy that reflect person-centred holistic care
- Recognise and respond effectively to changes in residents’ conditions
- Participate in clinical programs as directed, e.g., dementia, wound care, quality assurance, infection control, admissions
- Monitor staff compliance with clinical care activities and provide direction as required
- Provide handover information that is accurate and timely as per professional standards
- Complete ANACC documentation that supports ANACC funding
- Liaise with employees, residents, families, other health providers and all stakeholders in a professional manner
- Maintain knowledge of the quality standards under the Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and ensure practices meet standard outcomes
- Night shift opportunities available
- 22.8 hours a fortnight – 120 bed St Agnes’ Residential facility, comprising St Agnes’ House, Maryknoll House and Mount Carmel House

Who you are
- Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
- Experience working in aged care
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current knowledge of Australian Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation requirements, WHS legislation and the principles of aged and resident / client legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work with a Person-Centred Philosophy
- A genuine interest in, and compassion for, the aged
