Through transformational leadership the Head of Food Services will build a highly engaged and cohesive Food Services leadership team and Food Services network that delivers on the Goodman Fielder cultural imperatives. The position leads the articulation and implementation of the Food Services strategy and operational plans, including cross functional collaboration and influencing to achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives. Through the use of data and insights the position works closely with Product & Marketing as the voice of customer, purchasing behaviour and distribution channels, whilst championing the end-to-end value chain that will ensure Goodman Fielder effectively grows market share and customer loyalty

**Deliverables**:
- Provide strategic direction/input for development of Customer/Distributor (QSR, Catering & Institutions, Baking Direct, International Channels & Distributors) Channel and Food Services sales / service strategies in line with business requirements
- Accountable and responsible to ensure achievement of agreed sales and volume targets/KPIs.
- Challenges the sales organization to ensure its effectiveness and meet evolution of business requirements whilst maximising other enterprise programs, (leverage daily fresh loaf distribution to grow direct B2B and B2C) and maximum utilisation across all manufacturing production assets.
- Develop and communicate key priorities for the Food Services sales and service organization in line with Marketing (channel, customer, business development, distribution penetration, etc) that win customer partnership and business growth through push and pull strategies
- Ensure effective liaison with Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to drive for overall business objectives achievement
- Develop business relationships with key customers and industry groups to ensure strategic alignment and continuously improve customer satisfaction, ensuring GF effectively delivers across the customer life cycle with fit for purpose products and distribution programs
- Ensure the leadership of a high performing culture through the development and execution of people initiatives, development and coaching of sales / service personnel as well as direct reports
Experience & Qualifications
- It is essential to be successful in this role, that you have at least 10+ years experience of B2B & B2C product and integrated sales / manufacturing / logistics / distribution leadership experience
- Ideally you will have experience in fresh or perishable goods including management of fluctuating cost.
