We are looking for a Graphic Designer / Finished Artist to join our creative studio in our office based in Dandenong South.
The successful applicant will work on a variety of greeting card designs, both in‑house and bought artwork, ranging from trend to traditional designs to suit various consumer needs and occasions. There is also the need to design other products such as roll wrap, gift bags and marketing material in the form of point‑of‑sale, flyers and banners when required.
You will be part of a group of 6 other designers in the studio and a marketing team who bounce ideas off each other, happily share tips and tricks, like to have a laugh but also put their heads down and get the job done.
Key Requirements
* Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* At least 2 years minimum experience as employed graphic designer/finished artist
* Meticulous attention to detail (proof checking / spelling and grammar)
* Positive, can‑do attitude with willingness to work as a team
* Preparing print‑ready artwork
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
* Ability to perform administrative tasks accurately
* Professional written communication skills with strong proficiency in written English
* Ability to multitask and follow instructions with accuracy
* Respectful and accountable team member with overall general kindness for co‑workers
* Full working rights for Australia
* Driver's license and car (public transport not available)
* Unique creative flair in illustration or typography (portfolio to be sent with resume)
* More than 5yrs experience as employed graphic designer/finished artist
* Experience working in a similar role in a similar industry (ie printed goods, stationery, cards etc)
* Knowledge in producing digital and physical marketing material (social media / EDMs / product photography / flyers)
* Experience in working with licenses
* Passion for new trends and creative thinking
