Stage I & II Senior School Science and Maths Tutor

Role Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle/Senior School Science and Maths Tutor to join our team. This role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons in Mathematics and Science (Years 7–10), aligned with the Australian Curriculum. The successful candidate will support students in developing subject mastery, problem-solving skills, and exam readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering high-quality, tailored tutoring sessions in Maths and Science.
* Supporting students' foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and study skills.
* Providing feedback to students and parents regarding progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
* Preparing students for school assessments, tests, and exams.
* Maintaining accurate attendance and lesson records.
* Contributing to a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
* Strong academic background in Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology desirable).
* Experience tutoring or teaching middle and/or senior school students.
* Clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum and senior school subject requirements.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
* Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
* Organised, reliable, and committed to student success.
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
* Reliable transport to travel to student homes and office.
Desirable:
* Teaching degree (completed or in progress) or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Experience preparing students for Years 7–10 subjects and exams.
* Familiarity with different school systems (SACE, Australian Curriculum).

Compensation:
A$40.00 – A$60.00 per hour
