This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Casual appointments may also be considered.

We have multiple positions available to fill immediately.

About This Role

This position supports the therapy services program including groups and individualised treatment plans for consumers of the Older Adult Mental Health Service. You will work under the direction of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to support a patient's wellbeing and recovery. You will also have the opportunity to work across the community and inpatient service.

This role reports to the Senior Occupational Therapist.

Your Application Should Include
* A cover letter addressing your communication and organisation skills as well as your ability to work with clients in a healthcare setting (please read the JDF and Essential Selection Criteria before applying).
* A copy of your resume summarising your experience and achievements relevant to this position.
* The names and contact details of two (2) referees. It is preferable for one of your referees to have been a recent supervisor.

Eligibility To Apply

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Other Conditions

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/08/2026.

WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Please note that adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process.
