Who is SproutAg & What Do We Do

Sprout Agribusiness is an Agribusiness focused financial services company, specialising in Agribusiness Finance and business advisory. We typically work with farmers aged between 25 and 55, who are in the growth phase of their family owned business. SproutAg is passionate about seeking innovative business advisory and alternate finance solutions in agribusiness and see this as essential to the growth and evolution of the Sector. Our clients recognise that they often only have 20-25 years to set their mark in the world so are in a hurry and see significant benefits in our services.

We have offices across the eastern seaboard and are completely independent which enables us to match the best products and services to those businesses. Our all-encompassing service offering includes term debt, livestock finance, equipment finance and business advisory services including succession planning.

Accountabilities

* Outstanding customer service standards in line with SproutAg, and the ability to connect with a wide group across agribusiness and the financial services supply chain.
* Assist with the management of clients / group of clients that are predominately agribusiness / farming operations.
* Proactive identification of potential new business as well as servicing existing customer needs.
* Attend to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner and in keeping with established service standards.
* Maintain strong ongoing client relationships and ensure customer files / records are compliant with legislation and SproutAg policies and procedures.
* Strong analytical skills including the ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions to clients.
* Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written.
* Credit Skills – understanding and application of risk analysis, cash flow analysis, client management, evaluation and analysis of profit projections, property valuation and security requirements.
* Planning and Organising Skills – establishing a process to complete goals and allocating appropriate resources to achieve such goals.
* Decisiveness – ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner.
* Financial Skills – understanding profitability drivers, expense management, and profitability principles.
* Demonstrated understanding of the business, market and external environment.
* Sound understanding and knowledge of Financial Services Legislation requirements.
* Understanding of banking and financial industry principles and regulations.
* Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment.
* Develop and maintain relationships with peers to ensure effective support and service delivery.
* Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts as well as be across key industry knowledge.
* Rapport Building – use interpersonal style to establish and develop relationships.
* Social Skills – using appropriate behavioural styles to develop relationships and influence others.
* Operates in accordance with the SproutAg Values.

Knowledge/Experience

* Demonstrated experience in roles requiring growth and retention of a customer base.
* Experience in financial services, including Banking and Credit experience for commercial transactions; however, attitude, energy and the ability to learn are considered superior characteristics.
* Be highly motivated and keen to develop a long-term career.
* Excellent communication and negotiations skills.
* Tertiary Qualifications in business, commercial or finance are desirable.
