Based in Macquarie Park our client is a agile and rapidly expanding 'collectibles' retail business and is committed to delivering high-quality and high demand collectibles to our customers.
Currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Assistant Buyer** to join their buying department and contribute to our ongoing success.

**Position Overview**:
The Assistant Buyer will play a crucial role in supporting the product buying function by assisting in the acquisition of goods essential for the company's operations. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a keen understanding of market trends.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Vendor Management**:
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and pricing agreements, be able to pull together reports to assist the buyer in her analysis.
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues and improve overall supplier performance, building lasting and valuable relationships.

**Purchase Order Management**:
Assist in creating and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor and track order status, expedite orders when necessary, and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.

**Collaboration**:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, inventory management, and finance, to ensure seamless buying and best in class processes.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely updates on procurement activities.

**Skills needed**:
Proven experience in a similar role or transferable skills
An interest in a buying career
Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. be organised !
