We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the development of a safe and sustainable local traffic and transport network.
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a safe and sustainable local traffic and transport network, ensuring the needs of the community are met. This includes researching, investigating, and analyzing solutions or strategies in response to traffic or land use issues.
The role involves providing effective, technically correct, and pragmatic documentation and advice for projects and customer requests within formally agreed time frames, compliant with relevant standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting in the management of traffic/transport projects.
* Preparing draft grant applications for external funding of traffic and transport-related works, studies, and services.
* Responding to customer requests relating to traffic and parking management issues.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent – or nearing completion by being enrolled in the final semester of study.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Current class "C" driver's license.
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
* Formal course completion in traffic engineering, transport planning, traffic modeling, and road design.
* Proficiency in CAD.
This is an entry-level position offering a competitive salary and benefits package including:
