Philanthropy Manager Role
The successful candidate will oversee all activities in relation to philanthropy and fundraising in a specified region. This includes annual giving, major gifts, and philanthropic programs.
* Key Responsibilities
* Annual Giving
o Identify and meet donor needs by building effective relationships and timely communications.
o Manage relationships with donors to ensure the retention and development of their current level of support for annual giving and/or other key programs.
* Major Gifts and Philanthropic Programs
o Management of philanthropic programs including Victoria-based Chairman's 11, Orchestral Chairs, and other key programs.
o Securing new program donors and managing renewals.
o Cultivation and stewardship of donors for major gifts.
o Increase awareness of bequest program with existing donors.
* Fundraising and Development Events
o Work with the development team to plan annual development event schedule.
o Develop fundraising strategies to align with organisational needs.
o Co-ordinate event management, administration, and invitations.
o Arrange orchestra performances at events.
* Trusts and Foundations
o Identify and seek support from philanthropic trusts and foundations.
o Nurture existing relationships with trusts and foundations.
o Prepare grant applications and acquittals.
* General
o Provide support to the development team and board members as required.
o Contribute to efficient and effective delivery of philanthropic and fundraising strategies.
o Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
o Provide analysis and reporting on donors as required.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience as a philanthropy manager.
* A recognised qualification in management.
* Experience in event management.
