About the role
Band 4 - base salary from $99,189 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Working as part of our efficient, collaborative Contract Performance and Delivery team, we have a great opportunity for someone in the role of Contractor Works Delivery Manager.
In this operational role, you'll manage a statewide portfolio of contractor-delivered works packages and projects across the electricity network. You'll ensure works are delivered safely, on time, on budget and in line with contract requirements, while building strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.
You'll also contribute to improving the frameworks and systems used to manage contractor programs and support the delivery of TasNetworks' operational objectives.
What you'll do
* Manage contractor-delivered works across a statewide portfolio
* Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget and to contract requirements, including variations management
* Monitor contractor performance across delivery, quality and commercial outcomes
* Build strong relationships with contractors to plan works and resolve delivery issues
* Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate contractor programs
* Provide technical guidance to ensure works meet TasNetworks standards
* Use systems such as SAP, The Podium, iAuditor and Microsoft Office to track delivery and performance
About you
You are a practical and experienced leader with strong knowledge of electricity network construction and contractor program delivery. You understand how large contractor work programs operate and are confident managing commercial outcomes, contractor relationships and operational delivery.
You will bring:
* Qualifications in project or construction management, with a trade background as an overhead lineworker or electrician in an ESI environment
* Experience managing large contractor programs of work in the electricity supply industry
* Strong commercial understanding of contracts and variations
* Sound knowledge of transmission and distribution network construction and maintenance
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors and internal stakeholders
