This hands-on role requires a balance of leadership, organisation, and service excellence. This role is also a full-time role based on a flexible rotating roster. This role does require occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g. weekends, holidays).Key Responsibilities:Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.Maintain a clean, warm, and welcoming environment.Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS systems.Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house and support staff.Prepare rosters in line with business needs and manage staffing levels.Foster a positive team culture and resolve minor staff conflicts and performance issues.Act as the primary point of contact for customer feedback and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner.Monitor stock levels and place orders for food, beverages, and supplies.Work with the business owner on cost control, budgeting, and reporting.Provide weekly reports on sales, labour, customer feedback, and key operational insights.Collaborate with the business owner on menu updates, marketing promotions, and service improvements.Skills and Experience:Minimum 3 years' experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.Solid understanding of restaurant operations, stock control, and basic financials.Hands-on and adaptable approach to managing challenges.Passionate about food, customer service, and delivering a positive dining experience.Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.Experience in a family-friendly or casual dining environment.Familiarity with POS systems and staff rostering software.Qualification Requirements:RSA certification and knowledge of SA liquor licensing regulations.Food Safety Supervisor certificate (preferred but not required).Fixed annual salary (commensurate with experience).Performance review after 6 months.Meal benefits and staff discounts available.Opportunity to work in a supportive environment with long-term growth potential.If you're passionate about delivering a positive dining experience and leading a dynamic team, apply now to take the next step in your hospitality career.
