Due to expansion in workload, this well-established client based asbestos consultancy is actively seeking to employ a professional Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Brighton area. Applications from Crawley, Turnbridge Wells, Eastbourne, and the surrounding areas will be considered.
The applicant must hold the P401 certificate and must have extensive experience in carrying out analysis of asbestos bulk samples to determine the asbestos content within a laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Duties Will Include
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis for fibre content.
* Completing technical paperwork and typing certificates of analysis.
* Maintaining and developing UKAS accreditation systems.
* Ensuring that all analytical equipment used are kept clean and up to date.
* Getting involved with other ad hoc duties as and when required.
* Ensuring and complying with UKAS documentation and the Asbestos Quality Control Procedures.
